Uninterrupted power supply during Eid, according to NTDC

LAHORE: In accordance with a notification from the Ministry of Energy (Energy Division), Engineer Dr. Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan has taken up the post of Acting Managing Director of the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) as part of of a provisional agreement.

An NTDC spokesman said Engr. Dr. Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan completed BSc/BE from Pakistan University of Engineering and Technology, MSc in Engineering from University of Wollongong, Australia, and Ph.D. from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) Australia. He has served over 30 years of extensive experience in the energy sector. He has served in the energy industry including NTDC in key roles such as Deputy Managing Director (AD&M), GM (Project Delivery/GSC) North, GM (Technical), GM (TSG) and GM Asset Management North. He was also CEO of FESCO, CEO of IESCO, COO of Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park and CEO of AEDB. After assuming the charge, MD NTDC called a meeting of senior NTDC officials here at WAPDA House Lahore on Friday. He said the NTDC will ensure uninterrupted power supply to the distribution companies (DISCO) during Eidul Azha. NTDC teams will remain on alert at NPCC and all grid stations across the country, surprise visits will also be made by management in this regard.
