Infineon Technologies AG has released a comprehensive power management solution for compute servers based on Intel’s Sapphire Rapids processor. This new pick-and-place solution uses several of the company’s power management devices and technologies that deliver optimal power efficiency and performance, including XDP digital multiphase controllers, OptiMOS integrated power stages and an OptiMOS IPOL voltage regulator. These products make it possible to take advantage of the green potential of data centers.

The XDP hyper transient phase XDPE152 series controllers are based on the ultra-low-power Arm Cortex-M0 for maximum flexibility and optimized performance on workloads and ultra-fast dynamic load response time. Proprietary control algorithms provide ultra-fast response by efficiently handling pulsating processor peak currents with minimal output capacitance. Additionally, the software-defined architecture provides unique flexibility for system designers to optimize system performance on different system architectures and processor workloads.
The TDA215xx series of OptiMOS integrated power stages leverages industry-leading OptiMOS 6 technology to deliver superior efficiency (>95%) and reliability, dramatically reducing system cooling and maintenance costs.
The OptiMOS IPOL TDA38640 converter offers the best transient response facilitated by the company’s proprietary Fast Constant ON Time COT control engine and enhanced digital telemetry when working with Intel’s SVIDs and PMBus.
