Amphenol’s New Single-Pole Power Connector Sets the Standard for Solar Connector Reliability and Durability

The Amphe-PV H4 Plus is doubly certified at 1500V DC according to UL 6703 and IEC 62852.

The Amphe-PV H4 Plus provides robust thermal shock performance three times that of UL requirements; exceeds UL requirements for exposure to dry heat and damp heat by twice the UL requirements; and exceeds UL ruggedness requirements for moisture and thermal freezing three times above UL requirements, making them extremely rugged in the field.
These new solar connectors use Amphenol’s patented RADSOK technology to achieve higher current ratings, as well as lower temperature rise and contact resistance, compared to other contact methods on the market.
The Amphe-PV H4 Plus features a ratcheting cable gland that prevents backspin after termination. It is designed with an improved sealing grommet and internal collar for better wet leak performance and better cable retention. The unit’s innovative sealing structure provides stable protection and IP68 performance (24 hours at 1 meter).
Constructed of high performance polymer material to ensure long term stability, this connector has an ambient temperature range of 40˚C to +85˚C and an upper limit temperature of 120˚C. It is chemical resistant and has low moisture absorption. It accepts wire gauges from 14AWG/2.5mm2 for 8AWG/10mm2.
